The Sci-Fi Film School #4 - Doctor Who "Rose"

This time around we discuss the episode that re-booted the Doctor Who television franchise in 2005 called "Rose".




This is the episode that re-launched the Doctor Who franchise after being off the air since a made for TV movie in 1996. Rose premiered on March 26th, 2005.

Rose Tyler meets a mysterious stranger called The Doctor in the basement of the department store where she works while being attacked by shop window dummies called Autons. She then starts to investigate him and, in the process, uncovers an alien plot by the Nestene Consciousness to take over the Earth. Both Rose and The Doctor manage to beat the invasion together and she accepts his offer to travel with him in the TARDIS which travels through time and space.
